Led by the Quinta’s private chef, this exclusive experience invites guests to connect with the ingredients, the land, and the flavours that define Madeiran cuisine.
You may choose to begin your experience with a tuk tuk ride to the iconic Mercado dos Lavradores, in the heart of Funchal, where you’ll join the chef in selecting seasonal produce, aromatic herbs and freshly caught fish — all sourced directly from local vendors. For those who prefer a more relaxed start, the experience can begin directly at the Quinta, where the chef will already have selected the finest ingredients for the day.
Back at the property, guests are welcomed into the Quinta’s gardens, where they can engage with the cooking process or simply observe as the chef prepares a multi-course meal inspired by the market finds and the Quinta’s own garden.
The experience culminates with a private outdoor lunch set in the lush surrounds of the estate — a refined yet down-to-earth journey through Madeira’s flavours, history and hospitality.
