Gastronomic Walking Tour

Explore the gastronomic richness and main points of interest of Funchal city on a unique Walking Tour, where each step reveals not only the fascinating history of the city, but also the authentic flavors of Madeiran cuisine.

We advise you not to have a large breakfast that day, the activity starts at 11am (you can always adjust the time).

We chose the old part of the city as it offers a greater range of choice, both culturally and historically as well as gastronomically, passing through the Old Town of the city (painted doors street) and Mercado dos Lavradores.

Typical madeiran lunch; visit to the local market; traditional cookies and honey cake; Madeira wine tasting; Grandma's Cheese Shop; Chocolate tasting; tasting of Portuguese tea and custard tart; poncha tasting.
