This experience, in her studio in the center of Funchal, offers the unique opportunity to learn traditional wicker techniques while exploring the creative process of Catarina Jesus, a talented artisan whose main mission is not to let wicker die.

Workshop description

1. Introduction to Madeiran Wicker:

Catarina will share insights into the history of wicker in the region and its importance in creating artistic and functional pieces.

Witness the mastery of the artisan as she demonstrates traditional wicker weaving and shaping techniques.
