For many, it is still a hidden secret in the Atlantic. And even for those who have visited, there is still a lot to discover!
Madeira, which is part of Portugal, is an archipelago of small islands located in the Atlantic Ocean about an hour and a half flight from mainland Portugal, with several connections per day ( from Lisbon and Porto) and with direct flights from several European cities and capitals.
The island's capital, Funchal, has almost 600 years of history with a huge diversity in terms of history, culture and tradition. But here you can also find a cosmopolitan city with hotels of high service level, restaurants with world-renowned chefs and a lot of entertainment.
Here you will find a mild climate all year round with average temperatures of 20ºC, making it an “all year round” destination. Our nature is unique, made up of the Laurissilva Forest, Natural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO).
Our cuisine is based on the use of many and varied local ingredients. From traditional dishes to signature menus, there is a wide gastronomic variety marked by quality and diversity.
